Es el torneo más importante que vamos a tener en el año”, destaca el cordobés en un mano a mano con Mundo D.—¿Lo vivís con mucha ansiedad o lo llevás con tranquilidad?—Por ahora la llevo tranqui, pero cuando lleguemos a Brasil seguramente tendremos ansiedad por demostrar todo.—¿Cuál es el plus de este equipo?—La selección tiene jugadores que saben jugar. Somos un equipo que defiende mucho, que toca muchas pelotas en el bloqueo y en ataque también estamos bien. Seremos un rival difícil para cualquiera. Además, hace mucho tiempo que venimos trabajando juntos: hace dos o tres años que nos conocemos casi todos en este equipo y entrenamos en la selección muchos días. Eso valdrá mucho.—¿Qué pasó ante Australia, con el que perdieron en Buenos Aires y que parecía un rival muy inferior?—Parecía inferior a Rusia e Irán, claro, pero jugó un partido muy bueno, sobre todo el opuesto, que hizo un partidazo. Nosotros ganamos los dos primeros sets pero no apretamos el acelerador y nos relajamos en el tercero. Es bueno que nos pase ahora y no en el Mundial. Y después le ganamos de nuevo a Irán.—¿Qué objetivos se plantean para el Mundial?—Primero, clasificarnos entre los dos primeros del grupo, para meternos en “semis”. Y si se da jugar la final, muchísimo mejor. Queremos una medalla y, si se puede, llegar a la final. Creo que tenemos muchas chances de hacer un muy buen torneo. Brasil y Bulgaria, en nuestra zona, y Rusia, Francia e Irán, en la otra, son los más difíciles.—Son un equipo curioso: tienen siete finalistas en el Mundial Juvenil 2011 y cuatro subcampeones de los Juegos de la Juventud 2010. ¿Eso les da alguna ventaja?El cordobés arrancó como titular en todos los partidos—Sí, son experiencias, y ahora van a jugar a favor. Además, ahora en la preparación enfrentamos a Rusia y a Irán, que son de los mejores del mundo. Les ganamos a los dos y, más allá de los resultados, está bueno demostrar que se puede frente a ellos.—¿Cómo estás individualmente?—Me siento bien y estoy pasando por un buen momento voleibolístico. Espero demostrar todo eso en Brasil. En mi juego, lo principal es la recepción: me caracterizo por eso. Y en ataque estoy bien. Mientras le pueda aportar al equipo, bienvenido sea, como en la Copa Panamericana.—¿Qué significado tuvo el debut en el seleccionado mayor en el Sudamericano?—Es un sueño para cualquier jugador o deportista. Lo disfruté a full. Aproveché cada momento. Y te queda la esperanza de que te vuelvan a llamar: creo que hay muchas posibilidades. Estoy trabajando para que me vuelvan a citar y para quedar entre los 12.—¿La inestabilidad de los receptores-punta durante 2013 acrecienta tus posibilidades en la selección mayor?Ramonda aseguró que serán un rival difícil de vencer—Sí, claro. Creo que si me muestro bien, confiado, y juego bien, podré tener posibilidades. Pero el año que viene estará Facundo Conte, que no estuvo en este año. Estaré contento y feliz si se da otra citación.—Muchos jugadores se fueron al exterior. ¿La posibilidad de tener mayor rodaje en la Liga Argentina favorecerá tu desarrollo?—Lo pensé así y por eso me quedé en Boca, donde tendré la posibilidad de jugar como titular. A esta edad tengo que sumar experiencia y sólo pienso en jugar. Mi objetivo es permanecer mucho tiempo en la selección mayor y creo tengo las herramientas. Ahora tengo que demostrarlo.—Además de las herramientas, tenés un físico y unas condiciones que no son muy propias de los jugadores argentinos en esta posición.—No es muy habitual que haya puntas de 2 metros, que además reciban y que tengan mis características. Pero hay varios puntas en la selección mayor y todos pelearemos por un puesto en la selección.—Te pasaron muchas cosas juntas este año. ¿Lográs procesarlo? ¿Lo disfrutaste?—Por ahí hay momentos en que logro disfrutarlo, pero hay momentos en que no parás, tenés torneos, partidos, competencias. Pero por momentos se disfruta mucho. Cuando jugás un Sudamericano mayor, en el que lográs una medalla, es lo mejor. Y te hace sentir que el esfuerzo vale la pena.

Bueno Rusia siempre a campeonado en tierras brasileras, EL ultimo titulo fue en el 2011 en Rio de janeiro en el mundial juvenil y varios de ese mundial estan en el O2 bis como Filipov, schadilov,kabeshov,safonov.
Mañana Rusia debuta ante un rival aparente mexico.
