El partido de Serbia VS Rusia estuvo interesante, lástima que el 5to set Goncharova solo se estrellaba en el bloqueo serbio.
Creo que le hicieron 4 kill blocks.

Oficialmente China el primer clasificado, mañana le seguirán Estados Unidos, Rusia y Brasil... Solo faltaría un cupo donde están entre Holanda y Turquía y en menor medida Serbia y Japón.

Espero que Serbia gane sus 2 partidos que le quedan (ante Japón y Thailandia) y Japón los pierda ( ante Serbia y Rusia) asi seria un final 6 mas entretenido ya que Serbia demostró poder hacerle frente a los mejores.

Igual el DT serbio a dicho que no expondrá todas sus cartas en un mismo partido, porque está guardando todo para las olimpiadas. Y no quiere tener lesionadas.

China, USA and Russia qualify for World Grand Prix Finals

Lausanne, Switzerland, June 24, 2016 – China kept their undefeated status, while USA and Russia’s win-loss cards guaranteed the first three of five spots available in the Final Six of the FIVB Volleyball World Grand Prix.

The three qualified teams will join hosts Thailand and wait for the last two vacancies to be filled in the next two days of competition.

Group 1

China are riding high on success as they won five of their matches in straight sets and dropped only a total of three sets in two matches, to stay unbeaten in the tournament. The young Chinese squad, led by powerful outside spiker Zhu Ting, are keeping a steady pace in the tournament. Their straight-set victory over the Netherlands gave them passage as the first team to qualify for the Final Six, and a clear indication of their strong determination to take the World Grand Prix title this season.

The United States shut the door on Germany, as the latter struggled to obtain their first win in this edition. Russia’s 3-2 loss to Serbia still gave the former a way in the Final Six, as Belgium earned their first victory at the expense of Turkey.

Meanwhile, Japan outplayed Thailand in straight sets to improve their record to 3-4, while Brazil routed Italy in four sets to increase their chances of qualifying for the Final Six with a 5-2 win-record.

In the post-match press conference, both Marichev and Captain Pankova commented that the major reason of their loss was that they had made too many errors.
On tomorrow’s match against Thailand, Volleyrussia asked Marichev whether he would try new combination of players as they defeated Thailand in Italy in straight sets. He said he would rather use all players instead of reserving key players such as Kosheleva. He further stated that Kosheleva was absent in previous weeks and therefore would continue to have her playing in order to help her regain her best form as soon as possible.
