Serbia y Montenegro juntos en el Europeo Menores

Serbia y Montenegro se vuelven a juntar, claro que solo para ser la sede del Campeonato Europeo de Menores, el siguiente paso en la Clasificación al Mundial de Tailandia que definirá los 6 equipos europeos que presentan el mayor reto para nuestras campeonas sudamericanas en el Mundial.

29 equipos de Europa han jugado el Pre-Continental durante 6 días; divididos en 5 grupos de 6 (con un grupo de 5 por el retiro de un país). El mejor equipo de cada grupo más los mejores 4 segundos lugares avanzaron a la siguiente etapa.

Del Grupo A, Italia y Rusia pasaron por encima de Bielorrusia, Bélgica, Noruega y Estonia.
Del Grupo B, Alemania y República Checa superaron a Hungría, Portugal y Lituania.
Del Grupo C, Polonia y Paises Bajos avanzan ganándole a Austria, Ucrania, Latvia e Inglaterra.
Del Grupo D solo Eslovenia pasó contra Rumanía, Bulgaria, Eslovaquia, Croacia e Israel.
Del Grupo E Francia y Grecia sorprendieron a Finlandia, Azerbaiyán, España y Dinamarca.

A los 9 equipos que pasaron la ronda clasificatoria, se unen los anfitriones, Serbia y Montenegro y el vigente campeón europeo Turquía. Estos jugarán la Ronda Final del Campeonato Europeo de Menores del 29 de Marzo al 7 de Abril.

De esos 12 paises, 6 estarán en el Mundial de Menores en Tailandia, sin duda de los más difíciles rivales que habrá en el Mundial al que Perú va por primera vez en su historia como campeón.

Nivel muy fuerte de estos equipos europeos. Me impresiona mucho el nivel de Italia y Rusia que deben clasificar para el Mundial de Tailandia. Este equipo italiano es muy alto , con gran técnica y potencia de ataque. Su armadora Ofelia Milanov (1.82) es realmente muy buena, además de sus centrales la morena Sara Bonifacio N° 15 (1.88) rápida y potente; la gigante Anna Danessi (1.96) si bien no salta mucho pega con mucha fuerza y se desplaza bien, la opuesta Anna Nicoletti(1.90) tambien es potentísima y las dos puntas Sofia Dodorico(12) y Giulia Angelina(10) tambien son muy altas y fuertes. Perú tendrá que trabajar muy duro y jugar rapido para enfrentar a estos equipos. Perú es más rápido y defiende más pero arriba tendrá muchos problemas para enfrentar a Rusia e Italia y eso que aun nos faltan ver a Turkya y Serbia que en estas categorias siempre presentan equipos muy fuertes. El nivel de este proximo Mundial de menores en Tailandia será muy alto. Esperamos que Natalia y su Comando técnico puedan grabar estos partidos y verlos con las chicas para que sepan a que se van a enfrentar, y los de la Federación deberan hacer lo imposible por preparar al equipo mandandoles de gira a Europa. Los festejos por el titulo sudamericano ya pasaron ahora hay que prepararse y fuerte para lo que se nos viene en los mundiales de menores y juveniles.

The drawing of lots officially kicked-off the final round of the 2013 CEV Youth Volleyball European Championships

Belgrade, Serbia, January 18, 2013 - The drawing of lots for the final round of the 2013 boys’ and girls’ CEV Youth Volleyball European Championship took place at the Metropol Palace hotel today in Serbia’s capital city. The top six teams for each gender will qualify for the 2013 FIVB Youth World Championship. The boys’ championship will take place in Tijuana and Mexicali (Mexico) from June 27 to July 7 and the girls’ in Nakhon Ratchasima (Thailand) from July 5 to 14.

A series of prominent guests attended the drawing of lots ceremony, including CEV senior vice-president and chairman of the Volleyball Federation of Serbia, Aleksandar Boricic, CEV vice-president and jury president for the girls’ competition, Jan Hronek, Serbia’s Sports and Youth Minister Alisa Maric and the Minister of Sport of the Republika Srpska, Nada Tesanovic.

The three host countries – Serbia, Montenegro and Bosnia & Herzegovina – were represented by their highest volleyball authorities. In attendance were presidents Cvetko Pajkovic and Luka Juric, representing Montenegro, and Bosnia and Herzegovina, respectively. A number of media representatives were also present.

The participating teams were drawn into preliminary groups by the captains of Serbia’s youth national teams. They were joined on stage by volleyball legends, Vladimir Grbic and Igor Vusurovic who were Olympic champions in 2000. The drawing of lots was carried out under the supervision of ESOC Coordinator, Willy Bruninx. The teams were drawn to ensure that sides coming from the same qualification tournament were not going to compete against each other more than once, from the start of the final round.

The 12 teams qualified for the final round of the girls’ championship set to run from March 29 to April 7 in Bar (Montenegro) and Kladovo (Serbia) were drawn as follows:

Pool I in Bar: Montenegro, Slovenia, Poland, Italy, Greece and Czech Republic
Pool II in Kladovo: Serbia, Turkey, France, Germany, Netherlands and Russia

The 12 teams set to compete in Laktasi (Bosnia and Herzegovina) and Belgrade (Serbia) from April 12 to 21 in the tenth edition of the Boys’ Youth Volleyball European Championship were drawn as follows:

Pool I in Laktasi: Bosnia & Herzegovina, Italy, Poland, Belgium, Austria and Slovenia
Pool II in Belgrade: Serbia, Turkey, Russia, France, Bulgaria and Finland

Accreditation for Girls' Youth European Champs is open

2013 CEV Youth Volleyball European Championship - Girls


Beograd, Serbia, February 7, 2013. The Volleyball Federations of Serbia and Montenegro are glad to announce that media representatives are now welcome to register in order to get their accreditation for the 2013 CEV Youth Volleyball European Championship – Girls which will take place in Kladovo (Serbia) and Bar (Montenegro) from March 29 to April 7.
Beside media representatives, this obligation applies also to the journalists who travel along with the teams participating in the Championship and are “embedded” in the official delegation.
Those who want to be accredited for the matches of prelim Pool II taking place in Kladovo shall register here
Those who want to follow the matches of Pool I as well as the semifinal and final matches plus all other classification matches that are scheduled for April 6-7 in Bar shall register via this link provided by the Volleyball Federation of Montenegro.
